WST-1 cell proliferation assay kit

The Premix WST-1 Cell Proliferation Assay System enables fast and easy colorimetric measurement of cell proliferation and viability in a 96-well format, without radioactive isotopes or organic solvents. The Premix WST-1 Cell Proliferation Assay System is also applicable to inhibitory and cytotoxicity assays, where dye production is decreased rather than increased.

The Premix WST-1 allows cell proliferation and cell viability to be measured with a colorimetric assay, based on the cleavage of tetrazolium salts by mitochondrial dehydrogenase in viable cells. This product replaces the RI-labeled nucleoside and provides an RI-free method for the analysis of cell proliferation or cell viability.

Cells do not need to be washed or harvested, and all procedures, from small-scale culturing to data analysis with a microplate reader, can be performed on the same microtiter plate.
